Imagining a cultural space for an existing disused building or warehouse and creating a brand identity based on a strong concept.
I researched an existing obsolete concrete structure meant to be an aquarium, and turned it into a street art gallery in the coastal town of Batroun, Lebanon. Its name "Balon" comes from graffiti found on one of the building’s walls. The logo has two parts, the gray and constant “ba” and the ambivalent “lon” which takes the colors and textures of the different graffiti found on the abandoned construction.
The goal was to create awareness on derelict buildings left inhabited and neglected for financial or political reasons in post war Lebanon.
