Volkswagen Fleet Magazine is Germany’s first corporate client magazine for fleet clients and has been available as a printed version for more than 30 years as a printed version. In order to reach the important target group of fleet drivers efficiently, a platform-independent online magazine www.fleetdriver.de has been developed. There were three main targets when www.fleetdriver.de was planned: Firstly, it should be responsive, taking all usual devices into account, to improve usability. The second target was to crucially increase page visits. Thirdly, new content should be available more quickly. When it comes to communication, the target group of fleet drivers is often neglected by automobile manufacturers. Usually, their needs are not specifically addressed. This gap is now being filled by www.fleetdriver.de: Besides image building aspects, the new online magazine aims to generate additional demand within this target group.
The online magazine www.fleetdriver.de is designed fully responsive. The technical basis is a CMS, allowing to publish new content promptly. A balanced relation of text and picture creates a user-friendly surface and optimal display on all devices. The contents are being presented in a rather emotional way, and numerous multimedia elements are being integrated.
Although www.fleetdriver.de has only been online since the beginning of March 2016, it was able to conquer the barrier of 10,000 visits within a few weeks. Speaking in terms of quality, the online magazine combines the communications of the different brands of Volkswagen Group with fleet drivers. At the same time, the individual brand contents show to advantage in a premium environment.
