WTRMLNWTR is a cold-pressed watermelon juice brand that focuses on hydration, health, and great taste. The company’s current packaging is composed of a plastic bottle and bright colors. The client wanted a new packaging approach that was more sustainable and worked with a variety of flavors.
To me, watermelon is the epitome of summertime. I wanted to implement this idea of summer into the WTRMLNWATER brand. I explored different objects that coincide with this idea. I decided to make the logo resemble a patchwork blanket and also the seeds of watermelons to reference the perfect summer picnic. I created recyclable packaging in a paper carton, rather than a plastic bottle and created a color scheme that would work for a number of different flavors that WTRMLNWTR has to offer.
As I explored concepts and researched for this project, It seemed as if the pieces of my ideas all fit together perfectly, while I ran into some problems with balancing the composition and eliminating some awkward negative space, I am pleased with how it all came together.
