In public communication about crisis management, there is increasing talk of "restoring" or "maintaining order." Creating order is seen as an attempt to make the world comprehensible and manageable. But what are we actually talking about when we speak of order? On what historical and theoretical basis is the concept applicable, in what contexts can we use it today? And is it at all suitable in its definition to grasp, even to shape, a permanently changing world and a present that tends to be fluid?

The poster advertises the exhibition "New Order" at the Kulturspeicher in Würzburg. The graphic round surfaces depict a hierarchy and thus suggest a kind of order.
The posters were hung throughout the city of Würzburg to promote the exhibition. Since there are different artistic positions in the exhibition, it was important to develop a form that summarizes the exhibition and thus the artistic positions as a whole.
