Create a visual message using experimental film, animation or editing techniques to reveal a social issue. Abby Carmody and Rebecca Magner worked together to complete this project.

The partners used watercolor paints to create the bruises. We also created silhouettes of a woman, man and a child that appear throughout the film. Voices from real 911 calls and sounds of smashing plates and furniture were overlaid on the visuals to further emphasis the
message.

The result was a impactful video montage of harsh visuals and sounds. The silhouettes have bruises appear to show punching or hitting on the subject. The final message at the end was “Abuse Doesn't Discriminate.”
