Branding and identity development for a practice with such a wide area of interest — not only involved in pure formal architecture, but also in research, academic and cultural aspects of the profession — called for an universally applicable identity solution. A quite unexpected name for an architectural firm was suggested by the client himself — this gave us the opportunity to conceive the approach that will reflect his unique vision while maintaining the aesthetic and technical qualities necessary for application in a variety of possible situations. Clean and bold form of hand-drawn, customized typographic solution incorporates the specific symbol, an architectural arrow/pointer mark in a distinctive shape, used by the client in his projects — but its form also loosely resembles the meaning of the title, avoiding the literal graphic description. Both versions — full wordmark and the accentuated 'A' symbol — are used in appropriate positions consistently, depending on the context and requirements of specific applications. Along the printed material, the project includes development and design of the website (www.albatross.hr).
