The project was to use animation to tell a story or convey an idea, and
develop a well-rounded of piece of motion work that displays technical execution and the ability to conceptualize and innovate. Sunlight is an animated short based on an excerpt from Jonny Sun’s book of essays, Goodbye, Again. In the chaos of work and everyday life, taking breaks in nature and appreciating being in the present are essential for keeping your head on straight.

Sam studied real-world projects to prepare for this one. The project began with a pitch process. Eventually she developed storyboards, animatic, and style frames to visually express her story.
