Assignment: "An Experimental Booklet on an Architect "
Limited page booklet design carries your Architect's philosophy, design principles, works, life, significant features, and so on in unusual and experimental ways. The booklet should be informative and expressive in content and visual impact. Also, it can be interactive. Please explore the unlimited possibilities of typography, composition methods, expressions, diverse materials, media, design elements, styles, forms, grid systems, etc.

Approach: I began my project by doing a lot of sketches to help me visualize the direction I was heading. Once that was established I moved on to Adobe Illustrator where I made a digital layout of the booklet. I worked in both Illustrator and Indesign to achieve the most desirable layout. After, I was able to move on to experimentation with the physical materials as that was my main focus for this project.

Result: The final product turned out even better than I imagined and all the peers as well as the professor were impressed with the outcome. Since the booklet was focusing on the architect Frank Gehry, I really focused on his architectural style and I believe my biggest success was resembling his style in my work. The end result is a 10 page booklet, all made from different materials that harmonically interact with each other to reveal various facts about the architect and his design style.
