The goal with this poster was to reflect fashion by Pam Hogg through typography and design. She has a bright, playful feel to her work. But she also has a punk rock edge.
The design derived its concept from fashion through measuring and sewing. The letter forms were kept very simple and meant to represent buttons. The corrugated/accordion fold was a design based off of foldable wood measuring devices. The needle was added to ground the concept in sewing and fashion.
The results were made into a poster and the design made it into the fashion section of the magazine featuring exclusive content from Pam Hogg for ROTOR magazine. It's the opening design introducing her work.
