We were asked to show that this eponymous stand-up performance is not a comedy special, but a piece of modern art.
Approach
The show’s set is extremely minimal, and we chose to mimic this by placing Michael in a cool, blue, negative space where only he and his audience exist.
Results
Our key art suggests that Michael is floating in a tank of his own thoughts, and his audience--his soundboard--is the water supporting him.
