In this assignment, I developed a set of commercials for a brand that I developed for a Japanese distilling company that specializes in traditional distilling practices and drinks.

To create something unique and traditional, I utilized hand-drawn elements and a frame-skipping animation technique. The hand-drawn elements were put on top of an ivory paper texture, and were created using Japanese Copic markers. I also utilized the help of a Japanese family friend to translate and narrate the commercial.

The project resulted in a collection of traditional, unique, memorable moments that are associated with the image of the Japanese setting sun that can be found in the logo for Taiyo No Tani Distilling.
