I chose Brisbane because it was named as the host city for the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics. The strongest and most unique sports feature that stands out is cricket, the main subject of the poster. The composition of the person is chosen at a low angle to bring the main focal point on the incoming ball (event), the 2022 Brisbane Olympic.
The design reference for culture is red poinsettias (the same red flower in Christmas), the logo on the cricket racket. The logo symbolizes the Olympic concept of reaching-to-the-summit humans and the general shape of Brisbane red poinsettia in the gradient of city color (blue, red, orange).
On the other hand, the chosen typeface stimulates a modern and subtly bold feeling to the poster. The hierarchy of the typography goes along with the eyeflow and assures readability. Generally, the design effect of the poster is to create a realistic look as if the event is actually happening in such tension and enthusiasm.
