To celebrate and drum up excitement for the special event, the campaign plays off two elements: the 30 Rock Building Graphic, which is a common motif in the Rockefeller Center’s marketing material, and a musical element, in this case, a microphone. We connected these two shapes to “play” off one another. Set against a dramatic, black background, the graphic shapes take on the magical character of a nighttime event. Stars twinkle in the background, reminding the viewer that the event will be high up in the sky.
