The assignment is to design a two-page feature opening spread to provoke interest and visually communicate an idea from the article titled "Forget The Computer—Here's Why You Should Write And Design By Hand" by Herbert Lui.
The goal of the assignment is to consider concept clarity and typographic creativity.
Approach
I created extensive word lists and sketches to come up with different ideas to communicate the article. After several class critiques, my professor and classmates chose this concept to move forward. I used a Photoshop tutorial to create the shattered glass typography.
Results
My professor's reaction is positive. He notes that the design concept, process work, and typographic creativity are of professional quality.
