Our assignment was to come up with a multifaceted campaign for Glory Days Grill to promote their special Father’s Day meal for dads that would be centered around a choice of three distinctive steaks, including a newly featured 12 oz New York Strip Steak with their signature garlic butter.
Dads are noted for their cheesy jokes and cringeworthy puns. So we decided to really play into that with these posters. In the process, we purposely came up with some of the worst puns ever. And then acknowledged it with the line…bad pun, good steaks, which we prominently displayed on a steak marker. We had a lot of fun with this concept and used this approach in multiple ways -- from posters to counter cards to social media ads, instore digital videos, e-blasts and more. We always featured the various steaks front and center and even created real steak markers to be placed in the steaks on Father’s Day with positive personal messages for dad.
It was a really attention-getting campaign that made a memorable impression on dads and their families alike. Through these enticing images and fun creative, we encouraged the public to make reservations. All of which resulted in an increase in traffic and sales on Father’s Day weekend, as well as the week prior to it.
