This brand guide and brand extension was an independent branding project done in collaboration with interior design TCU students, Olivia Biggs and Sydney Welling. The project was to create a brand logo, brand standards, and brand extension pieces. I collaborated with interior designers with the brand name and colors, but the rest was done individually. The goal was to create a cohesive brand identity and set the standards for the brand.

We started with creating a retail space, which was a pet store. It is a one stop shop where both people and their pets can be pampered. We were inspired by mid-century modern design style that is common among Palm Springs architecture. The name 760MOD came from the Palm Springs area code, and mid-century modern architecture, as well as a modern way of treating your pets. The intention of the space is to allow pet owners to treat themselves and their pets at the same time in a bright, playful, and calming environment.

The Palm Springs location played a big part in the design and target market. The design process started with doing a lot of research about Palm Springs and mid-century modern design. This initial research drove the design and ideas to their finished product. The logo and brand standards show the mid-century modern and Palm Springs inspiration. The brand extension mockups help show the logo in real-life settings and extend the brand concept.

This project was successful at creating a brand to match the interior space created by the interior designers. The brand standards and extensions help create a brand identity and show student collaboration work.
