"Solar term" is used to guide the farming calendar in ancient China. A year is divided into 24 solar terms, reflecting seasonal, climate, phenological changes of the year. The 24 solar terms contain the Chinese respect for nature and their insight on life. In this project, designers chose the Chinese characters, 1st solar term "立春(start of spring)", and the 2nd solar term "雨水(rain)" to create new typography.

"立春(Start of spring)" is a vibrant time where everything comes to life. "雨水(Rain)" means the beginning of rainfall, mainly light rain or drizzle. Typography should express not only the characteristics of seasonal changes but also convey the mood changes brought by different solar terms. As an essential traditional Chinese culture, the artistic conception and expression of Oriental aesthetics are embodied in the modern design style of minimalism.

In works of "立春(start of spring)," the spring breeze rippled the curtain and the two characters. The color matching of red and green is the symbolic color of spring. The work conveys a beautiful breath of spring abstractly and implicitly.

The typography design of "雨水rain" shows the silky drizzle of rain and brick tiles. Combined with the abstract landscape background, it creates a picture of Jiangnan scenery in the continuous spring rain.
