The idea was to make a poster that had a little bit of a retro feel to it but also hints at the model aspect of the train show. So there's a tiny train coming down the tracks in a style that reminisced a turn of century art-deco train advertising piece. with the typography set at the bottom to have a reminiscent of an old school train ticket.
