ADI Design Museum asked me to come up with a poster to honor pioneer female architect Cini Boeri, recipient of the prestigious Compasso d'Oro Award. The poster needed to be iconic and timeless, as it is part of a permanent collection, so it shouldn't get old too fast.

I decided to use the iconic "Strips" sofa outline as typography to write the architect's own name "Cini", a rather unusual Italian word. The idea was based on a very bold approach that the architect herself was known for.

We know the poster was successful because the Museum's visitors are encouraged to tear down the different posters - over 110 different designs to choose from, one for each recipient of the historic Award - and this one ran out quickly.
