Seung Min Han
It is a collaboration illustration artwork for 'Poetry' and 'Visual Art' exhibition which is being held as a ‘2017 Pyeongchang Poet festival’ event of Korea, China and Japan.
It is a visualization work of poetry called 'your name' in cooperation with LU JIN, a Chinese poet, one of the participating artists, and it is a work created with digital illustration artwork. The Chinese poet LU JIN 's works, which are suitable for the main themes of' Peace ',' Harmony 'and' Friendship 'of this festival, convey the message of peace with the spring and light of the power of joy. This literary work was visualized by digital illustration method.
The specific emotional content of this work is as follows. ‘Your name’ is the light of peace, harmony and joy without tragedy and sadness, and ‘your name’ is the song of the spring of powerful joy that endures the winter and turns into a glad spring. ‘The name of this peace’ is dissolving into the hearts of all, and the future also carries a bright and energetic new future to hold the content.
I wanted to express the world of peace, harmony, and joyful spring and joyful world in Korean image elements.
‘Salpuri’, the name of traditional korean dance, dance of towel, fan, and traditional musical instruments, which are Korean materials, contain emotional contents that turn sorrow and tragedy into joy. The towel of salpuri dance means to endure sorrow and to release it with delight. Fan butterfly means 'Fan of Happiness' which expresses freedom and happiness by symbolizing freedom and happiness in connection with the meaning of 'spread' which is the functional value of debt. Korean traditional musical instruments means improvisational excitement and resonating euphoria. The mixed shapes of the large circles represent peace, harmony and joy of the earth.
I express that I can turn sadness and tragedy into joy through disassembly and combination of these materials. I expressed the world of peace, harmony, spring of joy in harmony with the korean character of 'your name'.
The work was presented at the 2017 Pyeongchang Poet Festival, 'Poetry' and 'Visual Art' exhibition.
