The MIT Aeroastro department hired our team to design its strategic report. This was the third time Opus was the selected design agency. The department creates a strategic report every 7 years. The goal of the report was to communicate macro trends in aeroastro, the department's goals, approaches, structure, and values.
Approach
Our highly visual approach combined striking photography, clean and clear typography, and a strong hierarchy. We designed type in bright colors and displayed it on dark backgrounds, like stars in outer space. Yet we contrasted with white backgrounds for easy reading of longer text. Infographics brought the department's structure and values to life. A neon blue was used as a spot color to add sparkle.
Results
The report will serve the department as a tool for communication externally and internally over the next 7 years. It documents the vision and goals they will strive to achieve and exceed in the years to come.
