Every year in May, more than 10,000 runners converge on Lincoln, Nebraska for the Lincoln Marathon. The course winds through much of downtown Lincoln before stretching out across the city and finishing on the fifty-yard line of historic Memorial Stadium. Along the way, spectators cheer on the competitors, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for friends and family.
Many runners want to commemorate the day—and their accomplishment—with more than blisters, sore knees and a medal. This limited-edition poster changes every year, allowing competitors a chance to frame their personal victory and hang it on the wall.
The 2018 poster features a stylized portrait of Abraham Lincoln, the city’s namesake. Hidden within his famous beard, artfully crafted to complete the countenance, is a map of the Lincoln Marathon route. This seamless combination of man and event creates an instantly recognizable and relevant piece for runners to remember the race.
