For my thesis project, I wanted to create a project that explored my interest in pattern, color, and the unique landscapes of the National Parks. With 2016 being the Centennial celebration of the NPS, a set of bandanas seemed perfect. As an alternative to the normal gift shop maps, t-shirts, and greeting cards, this specialty line of bandanas offer a more contemporary and colorful product that is also useful on the trails.
This collection acts as a special edition, highlighting parks from the states which create the four corners: Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona. Nestled in a custom wood box referencing both the meeting corners and the brand's mark, each park is assigned two bandanas: one exploring a landform, another a unique animal with strong ties to the park's habitat. A brief guide to each park is also included, offering more information about the parks and the featured references.
