The best way to have Americans empathize with our message was to actually give them a dose of the “injustice” on a small scale. This spot uniquely put people in the shoes of millions of LGBT Americans who can be fired from their job, evicted from this home, or even denied medical treatment because of who they are or who they love. And for just a second, fully understand how the answer to the question of sexual identity or preference could affect an outcome.
