The project was to design the visual identity system for a music festival, extending it to the physical touchpoints of the festival.
Approach
The idea was based on the name, Sonar. Ultrasonic radio waves, in the pattern of concentric circles served as the main source of inspiration, and a dynamic typographic system was created around that. The main colour pallette was inspired by neon light waves and laser lights in electronic music festivals.
Results
The result was a graphic system that could be easily yet dynamically extended across the entire identity system, with enough room to customise but maintain a strong brand identity.
