Form driven by function, Core produces skis for different levels, from all-round to slalom to powder. They are all high quality, they are handmade and the are produced locally by craftsmen. G+A was asked to design their new collection.
The wider and more heterogenous the target group of a ski, the more conservative the design. The more specific and more limited the target group, the more progressive the design.
The collection offers variability within a system of very few, restricted design elements: 1. The foundation is grey. 2. The statement make bars in one bold color. 3. A special touch with a linking color on the edges. 4. The more conservative, the more grey, the more progressive, the wilder the color strips.
Every ski can stand alone but at the same time is part of a bigger system reflecting the brands values. Looking at the competition, the bold and unusual simplicity of these skis is striking.
With the new collection, we proposed a new logo. As ski is a vertical thing – why don't we see vertical logo on skis? – It's as simple as that.
