SHOP ‘n SAVE has been a title sponsor for the Westmoreland County International Airshow for several years. It’s an event that the brand’s management and independent owners have plenty of excitement about. And their love of the event is pretty infectious. Our goal: promote the air show and share the brand’s excitement with their consumers.

While we usually execute program ads and support materials for the air show, this year we wanted to take things to a new level. From posters that transformed ordinary foodstuffs into flights of fancy to animated GIFs that teased the event with food based iconography and even transforming produce in-store into tiger teethed fighter planes, we wanted to visually prove that a grocery store can be the perfect sponsor for an air show.

We’ve all heard the phrase “happy client” before. This project led to a client we’ve only heard urban legends about: the “jubilant client.” Our main client contact was so excited that he immediately asked for a framed print of the work for his home office. Even better, the event was well-attended and prints of the work sold out when auctioned, directly benefitting Feherty‘s Troops First Foundation, an organization that provides meaningful assistance to military personnel who have been wounded while serving.
