The assignment was to create a poster for different events happening in Dallas, my client was the Dallas Art & Tattoo Expo. This event brings in tattoo artists from all over the globe and features a variety of events, vendors, and activities friendly for the whole family.

I wanted to illustrate the true boldness and commitment of tattoo enthusiasts by "tattooing" the event name onto a woman's voluntarily bald head, making something conventionally beautiful out of a celebrated, unconventional medium.

The final product consisted of photoshopping, hand lettering, and some more photoshopping but I ended up with a visual that I was pleased with. Additionally, I struggled on what to do with the informational copy. My solution was to surround the subject with similar hand lettering as the tattoo in a subdued color to prevent any distraction from the main subject.
