The Cecelia Coker Bell Gallery is an exhibition space on the campus of Coker University. There are several exhibitions throughout the academic year. This poster was created to help market the exhibition of Jim Boden's recent body of work entitled CONFLICT. Posters are displayed throughout campus and business located near campus.

I decided to take one of the images provided by the artist and zoom in on a particularly, interesting aspect. When designing exhibition posters, I like to let the artwork draw the viewer in and utilize the typography in a supportive manner. For this poster the word "conflict" needed to have presence but I didn't want it to be the only thing one would see. I tried to strike a balance between the show's title, the image, and the other information.

Jim Boden was extremely pleased with the design. Even though the poster was designed to support of the gallery, it is very important to me that the artist enjoys the outcome.
