The Shibuya Tourism Association in Tokyo wanted to promote a new image for "Shibuya Ward" to younger people. Therefore, we designed and published a collection of photos taken in Shibuya Ward, with the famous Japanese idol group "Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku" as model. We decided to take on the challenge of delivering a new image to the target.

We chose to give to that photo book, a very simple and premium design. The thick gray paper represents Tokyo's concrete buildings, and as its opposite, the lavender back cover and yellow gilded letters gives an organic, feminine image. We took an approach that is completely different from existing photo books of idols and created a new image of "Shibuya Ward.

There has been a great demand for this book, including advance reservations, and a photo book exhibition was also held as a further promotion;
these enabled us to deliver a new image of Shibuya Ward to young people in Tokyo, and achieve great sales from overseas customers as well.
