Assignment
Jennifer Morla is a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale. AGI conducts a theme driven poster project each year for their congress in Switzerland. The theme for 2015 was "Coexistence". Coexistence as defined by AGI, characterizes the simultaneous presence of different systems and peaceful coexistence is a fundamental condition for human beings to live as a community in peace and freedom. Human rights protect the basis of human existence and the rules for the peaceful coexistence of peoples. Human Rights are indivisible and interdependent. Furthermore they are indispensable for sustainable development. The respect of human rights and fundamental freedoms are the base of human dignity. The only requirement of the poster besides format was to include the word "Coexistence" within the design.
Approach
Coexistence, as defined in the AGI brief, characterizes the simultaneous presence of different systems in peaceful coexistence. The Swiss have a long history with printing innovation and excellence, and the poster reflects the co-existence between traditional process dot pattern and digital pixels as applied to a scenic view of the Swiss Alps.
Results
Poster printed and exhibited for 2016 AGI Congress in Biel, Switzerland.
