I decided to choose a company that was as far from something I would normally choose to challenge myself and decided upon a men's suit accessory store specializing in ties. The goal I was reaching for was to create an illusion of a suit that highlighted the ties themselves. Thus, I decided that everything about the bag had to be made of paper so that the material of the ties and the quality of the product was the focal point. Thus, furthering the focal point of the ties, I decided to create a frosted window in the front of the bag to allow a sneak peak at the ties and subtly flaunt them after purchase. The window also completes the illusion of a "suit" that the bag is hinting at.
The next step was to take care that the ties were being kept in mint-condition while traveling from the store to the designated home. To successfully do so I made a miniature clothing rack that can be inserted upon purchase into the bag, or removed so that the bag can be folded up and stored. Along with the mini tie rack, I made mini tie hangers.
The final step I took to finalizing the suit look was to create the breast pocket on the outside that serves as a business card holder for the "pocket square" business cards. After purchase, whichever associate assisted in the purchase is able to place their business card into the breast pocket for any future help or questions.
