Each spring, Auburn University's School of Industrial and Graphic Design hosts a week of design related events. Students and the public are treated to guest lecturers, a juried graphic design show, and a sustainable design competition.
Approach
The design of the poster was inspired by the sustainable practices and cross pollination of the two programs. The letters GDDG, representing "Graphic Design" and "Designing Green", represent the two disciplines looking to nature for design inspiration.
Results
The final poster was printed locally on Lettra 100% cotton paper by Neenah Papers and limited to 100 prints. It was featured around campus and at the gallery for the student show. The poster successfully attracted students, faculty and members of the community to attend the show and participate in the lectures and competition.
