Its clothing is known for casual, elegant, deceptively simple design, called “zen fashion” by some fans. Fast Retailing is growing globally, and ambitiously aims to overtake its global No. 1 and No. 2 rivals.
The Company, which writes most of its own report, commissioned SHIAN to create a globally accessible graphic design that helps bring readers into the message and leaves room to showcase the clothing, the basis of its value, without looking like a catalog.
SHIAN responded with design language that mirrors Fast Retailing’s functional and intelligently casual design ethos. Report covers feature flagship stores, another aspect of its distinctive brand that is best explained visually. The bright solid colors chosen for the interior capture the vital corporate energy and blend well with the vivid and wide-ranging product color offerings. The central foldout uses dramatic greeting card-like outside/inside headlines underscore the hidden linkage between its fashion and its business model philosophies.
