Project was to design a show poster to our given client and an optional extension piece. Once the poster concept and design are approved we will extend our design to work more than two colors and less than seven colors. Client received was the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, which is internationally recognized as the world’s largest outdoor quilt show and quilt sale displaying more than 1300 quilts representing fiber artists from around the world. More than 10,000 visitors from all 50 states.

The goal is to design a poster that grabs new audiences attention to welcome them to attend and as well to make sure their audience attends the event and be excited for their 45th annual event.

The concept is to remind the audience where this quilting event came from and the history by showcasing a cabin in the wilderness with the mountains of Central Oregon. I wanted to keep the idea of sewing to remind the audience that this is a quilt show and as well have different colors and fabrics sown together as a symbol of unity and togetherness and how every color is different but together it can create an image and a story.

Gave careful attention to the craft and presentation of the poster project. Originality of idea and execution works together for the event. Goes beyond merely solving the problem.
