M&M’s are popular colorful button-shaped candies. There are a variety of fillings such as dark chocolate and peanuts available. The candy is now sold in as many as 100 countries and can be personalized online. The assignment was to create a print campaign for M&M as a fun brand that appeals to its consumers.
Approach
Fashion is a part of our everyday life. It is personal, comes in different colors and matches one’s personality, just like M&Ms, which are colorful, delicious and can even be personalized online.
Results
This campaign was the first campaign that I made for Professor Mariucci's Advertising class. The inspiration behind it was actually fashion week, which was going on when the assignment was given to the class. I wanted to keep the concept behind it simple. There is something fun and personal about one's personal style. Incorporating it with M&M's colorful characteristics resulted in a simple, fresh and youthful approach to the brand — four different personalities photographed with M&Ms as a part of their fashion statement.
