The COVID-19 pandemic has imposed significant limitations on physical gatherings, prompting a rise in popularity of virtual parties and informal get-togethers. The organization of such video-based events necessitates meticulous planning and attention to detail, with the added challenge of establishing new relationships in a virtual setting. Consequently, recognizing the need for a platform that facilitates casual event planning for friend groups in an online environment, I initiated a project aimed at addressing this concern.

The project was borne out of a fundamental inquiry into how best to foster a sense of connectedness and engagement among individuals in remote settings.

RSVP is an exclusive online gathering platform designed to cater exclusively to invited guests. The invitation-only system serves to protect participants from online impersonation or fraudulent behavior. The platform's logomark consists of interwoven typefaces, symbolizing a celebration of diversity and inclusivity. Each typeface represents a connectedness, highlighted by connecting lines, linking squares, and wide letters. The symbol draws inspiration from virtual meeting screens that adjust based on the number of attendees present.

The feedback I received on the project indicated that it effectively achieved its intended purpose of creating a platform to facilitate social connections during the COVID-19 pandemic. The project was commended for its emphasis on relationships and for improving the means of connecting people residing in remote areas, as well as for enabling online gatherings for friends living in major US cities affected by the pandemic. Overall, the feedback attested to the project's success in creating a sense of community and promoting social interaction in these challenging times.
