According to the International Labour Organization, more than 200 million children under the age of 15 are forced into labour, where they use dangerous equipment, operate under unsafe conditions, and work for long hours. These are the people, and these are the hands that make a lot of the clothes we wear. My poster design uses the metaphor of a sewing pattern in the form of a child’s hand to highlight that this is their everyday practice. The pun ‘piece’ plays on the V hand signal that we culturally understand as 'peace' (or victory), juxtaposing the meaning behind the hand gesture. We have still yet to achieve victory against child labour.
