For this assignment, students had to create a magazine from scratch. I was the art director, copy editor, illustrator, photographer, and of course, designer. Every microscopic detail was accounted for and curated by myself.
Approach
Nomad is a travel magazine for the free spirited. Design is whimsical with emphasis on photography and typography. The cover design has a light and fantastical aesthetic. The content is all curated to be about travel.
Results
My magazine conveyed the overall feeling of the outdoors, starting with the fantasy edited pin shaped to be a part of the mountain . When diving deeper into the magazine, the outdoors are again emphasized with landscape photography and iconography. Overall, the intended spirit of the magazine was achieved.
