GTE Financial wanted us to create a quirky, impactful TV spot on a limited budget that would promote GTE Financial’s new Go Premium Checking Account with GTE Secure.
This was one of three spots in a campaign in which we emphasized how life can be stressful, yet banking doesn’t have to be if you go with GTE Financial. In this particular spot, our main character Lucas is setting up the ultimate security system complete with 12 locks for his front door. Being so paranoid about security, we showed how he really appreciated GTE’s new checking account that came with special security features. We hoped this spot would get people’s attention, while showing GTE’s warm, fun personality and how they can make things easy, even when life isn’t.
GTE Financial liked this spot, because it was quirky and different – just like them. The commercial also helped to differentiate them and their special new checking account from the competition. They’ve also heard positive comments about the comedic commercial via social media. Most importantly, this spot has helped to make people more aware of GTE Financial and their unique products and services.
