Madison Properties, a Toronto-based development team, tasked us with creating a strong teaser campaign for the announcement of their upcoming project, the world's very first Nobu Residences, Hotel, and Restaurant, located in Toronto's Entertainment District. The campaign would exist on a teaser website, a full project website, building signage, print ads, digital invitations and e-blasts. We knew that utilizing video to infuse an additional sense of mystery for the teaser materials, and later the sales gallery, would be a critical eye-catching component.
Videographer Kat Westergaard introduced us to the Phantom video portrait technique, which we applied to three distinct teaser components set in three distinct environments to abstractly represent the three pillars of the Nobu Toronto offering (hotel, restaurant, residence), as well as the brand’s overall appeal to the senses.
The sensory-inspired extreme slow motion portraits elegantly and mysteriously build a sense of anticipation for the oncoming Nobu development. Our client and their target audience, the Toronto brokerage community, received the teaser website and accompanying videos with great enthusiasm.
