Concert Hall de Doelen is the place to be for live music in Rotterdam and surroundings. Since 1697 de Doelen passes on the accumulated experience and knowledge to her audience.
The visual identity combines history and present by telling the audience historical facts about music. It not only gives knowledge, but also functions as a guide. Concerts are ranged under labels – for example ‘experts’, ‘muses’ or ‘rebels’. These characters help the audience to choose from the wide range of concerts.
This is shown in the serie of posters. The label shows the character of the concert. The tiny image placed under the label tells you a historical fact. All together shows the rich history, the present and nourishes the future. Studio Lonne Wennekendonk develops the strategy, ideas and design of de Doelen identity since 2010.
