Established as a form of protest, the Woman's Building holds a significant place within the landscape of late-twentieth-century lesbian and feminist culture. The genesis of this project was driven by an inquiry into what the Woman's Building may have become had it continued to operate until the present day. The overarching objective of this initiative was to revitalize and reignite the ethos of the Woman's Building in Los Angeles.

My area of focus pertains to the analysis and interpretation of the Woman's Building's call for the creation of a safe and supportive space for women, with the aim of combating marginalization. This vision was embodied in the image of a bridge, which was constructed by the Woman's Building to aid female artists in integrating into the community. The logomark of the organization features the letter "W", which symbolizes forward momentum and progress. The color palette employed in the logomark was inspired by the publication of the Woman's Building, which prominently featured the color pink. The addition of brilliant red to the color scheme imbues it with a heightened sense of vibrancy and energy.

The feedback I received regarding this project indicates that it was effective in rekindling interest and renewed attention towards the Woman's Building in Los Angeles, as well as in highlighting its underlying values centered around women's rights. This project presented a valuable opportunity for a critical reassessment of the historical significance of the Woman's Building, while simultaneously celebrating the contributions of female artists.
