Type class – Create a micro identity for an exhibition.
Based on String Theory, which proposes that universe may embody more than four dimensions, Manifold Reality is an exhibition that explores a compactification of hidden dimensions. We cannot perceive extra dimensions because those six additional dimensions are compactified and are so tiny they are curled-up inside each other.
The alphabets are visualization of how each characters may look like in hidden dimensions. They are curled-up into counter and stem of characters to emphasize z-space.
'O' is replaced by Calabi-Yau manifold, a mathematical visual interpretation of the extra dimensions created by Shing-Tung Yau and Eugenio Calabi.
This project was produced at Art Center College of Design. The project was successfully presented.
