To give potential tourists an interesting, useful tool for exploring Nebraska City; offer local businesses an easy way of establishing an online presence; and give NCT&C an easy-to-use membership database and CMS. Oh, and the website also had to anchor the rebranding campaign for the city itself.
A customized WordPress site with a modern UI providing a user experience rarely seen on municipal sites. Site features included a filterable map of local attractions powered by Google Maps, specific sections for the town’s main festivals, multiple content levels based on membership levels, and a backend CMS designed for use by non-IT people.
Increased membership sales for the NCT&C and greater adoption of site functionality (individual business pages) by local companies. Site traffic averaged 800-1,000 daily visits (outstanding for a small town) during non-peak times and climbed to over 7,000 daily visits around festivals.
