Design an ad that raises awareness for a social issue where the emphasis is placed on the typography rather than an image.
Approach
Illustrator was used to created a circular optical illusion in which the word "not" is hidden between "I'm" and "ok." A white bar is placed at the bottom of the ad with overlaying logo, tagline, and call to action.
Results
The 8.5"x11" black and white magazine ad for the National Institute on Drug Abuse uses an optical illusion to communicate the denial that drug addicts might have when confronted about his or her addiction.
