The driving force behind developing a high concept and unexpected piece of key art for Prodigal Son was to convey the themes of internal struggle, layered relationships and the push and pull of good vs. evil.

With a more literal approach of father and son being inside each other’s heads, we were able to highlight these key themes, provide context to the main characters’ complicated relationship all while balancing our approach with a tonally lighter palette and treatment.

Not only was our client thrilled with what we produced, but reported that they have since used it as a benchmark for other projects. This extends beyond our client at Fox as other studios have cited this piece to us as something to reference conceptually.
