Create iconic looking imagery in line with the Star Wars universe to promote the Special Edition BB-8 and Force Band for Sphero. The Force Band controls the BB-8 droid through gestures of the arm and wrist.
Sphero wanted their high end tech toy represented in a way that was sophisticated and unlike conventional toy photography.

We approached this project by trying to show the product and talent in locations that would invite the viewer to believe they may be in the Star Wars universe. We shot in the Great Sand Dunes National Park and a house that represented a Tattooine homestead (a Star Wars planet).
For the larger campaign (and to show the other features of the product) we also shot in the Redwoods in California and on Mt. Hood in Oregon to represent a snow scene (in the middle of summer).

Fortunately the locations of the project helped set the mood incredibly well so the client was thrilled with the outcome and used the images in ways they hadn't originally anticipated.
