I was inspired by looking at anti war posters, what struck me was the repetitiveness in the images and messages. This led me to think about repetition and war, and the fact that there are wars going on all the time and they happen concurrently.
Approach
I chose DIN as the typeface for its understated authority and warning qualities with a restricted palette of harsh colours. The type was overlapped continually over a number of sizes and was fragmented by this process rather than exploded which would suggest something different.
Results
I believe the result conveys the chaos of multiple wars and subsequent loss in a simple visual sense through the obliteration of letters and the breaking up of words achieved by overlaying the slogan again and again.
