Experimenta Pontevedra is an urban design festival held annually at Pontevedra. To kick off the new event, a brand and a graphic were given to us that would identify the Festival, which is held on the city's streets, with the contributions of artists, architects and designers. Some were invited and others competed to obtain a spot to present their project.
The name used to christen the event was “Experimenta Pontevedra” (Pontevedra Experiments) because it needed to give off that experimental aspect as well as bear the name of the city, so as to give it an identity and location.
With that concept of the meaning of the word “experiment” along with the meaning of “experimenting” (to sense, test and discover) we have created a brand for identification purposes which would never be used in the same manner. With merely colours, typography, and a means of composition, the event was identified. A symbol was also created which would summarise the brand, so as to be able to apply it to different items such as shirts, banners, bags, caps... in addition to digital applications on social networks, promotional sites, digital catalogues...
The result as an event with an appropriately and completely coordinated identity, which received broad acceptance and created expectations at a national level as it was seen in different magazines and media that disseminated it, leading to a great success with regards to the call for participation.
